ENZ Cutting ball CB90

Cutting ball CB90

The enz® cutting ball CB90 was specially developed to be able to clean curves in pipes. Our cutting ball works without impact, but has the ability to switch in vibration. It is equipped with a hard metal front cut for pipes that are more than 50% clogged. The side blades are self-sharpening and maintain their sharpness over their entire service life. The cutting ball goes easily around curves and can be operated with recycling water. Other advantages are that the cutting ball has more surface area on the one side and has a magnetic brake on the other side, which makes it much more controllable. This means that it not only causes less pipe damage, it also has no leakage.

420.090A without thrust / 420.090AS with trust

As of July, there will be two models available: The 420.090A, which has no additional thrust, and the 420.090AS, which has thrust. Both have a 1/2" connecting thread and can be used up to 250 bar. The cutting ball is for pipes from a diameter of 100 to 150 mm and requires 60 l/min. The cutting ball removes root masses, mineral deposits or lime in PE, steel or concrete pipes with no problem.

Sharing experience with cutting ball CB90

During a longer trial phase, the cutting ball CB90 was tested by various sewer flushers. The cutting ball CB90 was frequently used to remove roots and soft lime deposits. The cutting ball is preferred over mechanical systems, especially for long pipelines with many curves. Reports from our testers were highly positive. Try the new enz® cutting ball and see for yourself!

Maintenance / Repair

When using the cutting ball, the nozzle inserts must be inspected at regular intervals. If recycling water is used, the inserts must be checked daily. At the end of each use, the cutting ball must be cleaned and treated with an anti-corrosive oil.

UC22 up to 1500 bar / 22,000 psi

In January, we told you about our improved cross jet nozzles (new "UC nozzles"). Starting immediately we can also offer you the UC22 (22 mm diameter) for 1500 bar / 22,000 psi. This is now available with 1/4 BSPP, 9/16 UNF RH and 9/16 UNF LH connecting threads and runs at 30 l/min. For 1000 bar / 14'500 psi, we offer you the UC22 with 1/4 BSPP, 1/4 NPT and 3/8 NPT threads. As mentioned in the January newsletter, the UC nozzles require no extra thrust, since the thrust is already integrated. The advantage to this is that it requires fewer parts and reduces the complexity of the nozzle. This also makes the UC nozzles last longer. The proven cross-jet design helps to clean clogged pipes or heat exchangers even faster.

Silverline nozzles: All now come in rounded form

In the past our Silverline nozzles came in different shapes. There were models that were the same shape as normal channel cleaning nozzles, and others that had a rounded form. Starting now, all Silverline nozzles are only available in rounded form.

Our chain scraper: A success story

We received these two photos from our colleagues in America:

Chain scraper 10.200R

Chain scraper 10.150RL

The first picture shows our chain scraper 10.200R in Oregon. These roots were quickly removed from the pipe. The second picture shows our chain scraper 10.150RL, which was used in Kentucky. Both customers were very satisfied with the operation and recommend our chain scrapers for the removal of complete root blockages and incrustations.

IFAT 2016

From May 30 to June 3, 2016 we welcomed countless curious visitors to our booth at the IFAT trade show in Munich. Our propeller nozzle 07.1400A, with a diameter of nearly two meters and a weight of 136 kg, was quite the attention-getter. Our new products, which we presented at IFAT, were also much talked about. These included the Rotopuls 16 vibration nozzle, which can be used as an alternative to mechanical cleaning and has additional thrust for long pipelines. We look forward to offering this vibration nozzle in fall 2016. Also starting in fall, our Bulldog® 37 1000 bar / 14,500 psi will be joining our product line. As always, you can learn more about these and other new products in our newsletter.

Once again our participation in IFAT was a complete success for us. We value the many interesting technical discussions that took place between our visitors and staff in the booth as extremely important to our ongoing innovation. At this point we would like to thank all of the visitors to our booth and look forward to the next opportunity to meet and talk shop with you.
