UC Nozzle Series
For a few years now, enz® has had an array of cross jet nozzles in our product line. The new UC nozzle product line can be used at up to 1,500bar / 22,000psi. The UC nozzles are used in the industrial cleaning of heat exchangers and in completely clogged pipes. The forward-facing cross jet cuts the material in the completely clogged pipes like a milling cutter. At the same time, the radial jets provide maximum removal from the pipe wall. The UC nozzles can be used in many applications – a true all-rounder.
UC nozzle water jets, 12mm
Important features that differentiate the UC nozzles from the competitors include the material, the configuration of the water jets and the integrated push. The parts of the UC nozzles are made of hardened steel and thus have extremely high wear resistance. The service life is increased immensely as a result. The water jets are optimally configured, which increases the speeds. These are much deeper. The integrated push is advantageous because it has fewer parts and reduced complexity.
At the moment, the following sizes are available at an operating pressure of 1,000bar / 14,500psi: 12mm, 18mm, 22mm and 28mm. At an operating pressure of 1,500bar / 22,000psi, the UC nozzles are available in 12mm and 18mm. A few additional sizes will become available throughout the year.
Sharing experiences with UC nozzles
Among others, an American customer has been using our 12mm UC nozzle for several months. Our on-site sales manager, Dana Hicks, consulted on and documented the field tests from the beginning. The customer used the nozzle in a heat exchanger with a Ø 30mm, which was clogged with carbon-like material. In direct comparison to competitor products, this nozzle never faltered at a constant working pressure of 1,400bar / 20,000psi. Even when it hit a stop, it continued to turn without having to drop pressure first. The pipe was cleaned faster and more efficiently. The customer feedback after the tests were extremely positive.在测试之后给予了非常正面的响应。
Maintaining / repairing the UC nozzles
All UC nozzles must be operated only with clean, filtered water. When working in dirty water, the water pressure may not be switched off for any reason. This could result in dirt particles entering the nozzle and possibly scratching the running surfaces or clogging the nozzle inserts. The nozzle inserts must be examined after each use for buckles from particles or damage. Damaged nozzle inserts must be replaced by identical nozzle inserts, unless the speed of the nozzles and reaction forces are changed. Care is required when using the new nozzle inserts. For questions, please contact our representative directly or contact our customer service department at: Tel. +886-02-8691-8333. If possible, the UC nozzles should be cleaned in a gasoline bath after each use and lubricated with a biodegradable spray. If the UC nozzles are inspected and maintained regularly, they will have a long service life.
